How Do I Find My Size In Merry People Products?

Size Recommendation:

Most customers find our products are true to size; however, we always recommend checking the size guide to be safe, as sizing can vary slightly across different styles. We suggest comparing your foot length to the insole measurement and allowing around 0.5–1cm of extra space for the best fit.

We also offer a footwear measuring tool on our product pages called Volumental, which allows you to scan your foot using a piece of paper to help find your best fit.

Looking For A Wider Fit?
Our Bobbi, Tully, Andie and Fergie boots, along with our Billie Clogs, are made to a standard B-width fit. If you’re looking for a wider option, our Oberon Boots are designed to a more generous D-width.

To find the best fit for you, we recommend comparing your foot measurements to the insole measurements listed on the product size charts.

Insert-Friendly:

All Merry People boots and clogs feature removable insoles, making it a breeze to add your orthotics or special inserts. Our top tip? Ensure the orthotic's length matches the Merry People innersole for a snug fit.

Unisex:

All Merry People products are unisex and designed to be worn by anyone. Our current size range runs from EU 36–45, with availability varying depending on the style and colour.

Flex And Comfort:

Our boots will soften as you wear them, so don't worry if they feel slightly snug at first. The rubber will flex with time and wear, and the neoprene lining will mould to your feet. It is important that they are comfortable enough to wear in. If overly snug, consider exchanging for the size up.

Weight:

Some waterproof boots can feel either too heavy or too lightweight. Our boots are designed to sit comfortably in the middle with a sturdy sole and durable tread for everyday wear.

Weight can vary slightly between styles due to design and materials. Of our ankle boot styles, Bobbi, Andie, and Oberon are similar in weight, at approximately 600–650 grams per boot in a size EU39. Tully is slightly heavier due to its chunkier design and sole.

What size to choose if you’re in-between sizes

I'm in between sizes – what should I do?

It can be tricky with footwear that has no means to adjust the fit (no laces, etc). If you usually wear a half-size and are trying to decide between sizing up or down, we recommend comparing the length of your foot to the insole measurements in the size chart.

It's okay if the boots feel slightly snug to start, as they are made of natural rubber, which will soften and mould to your foot with wear.

However, they won't get any longer, so you don't want to size down if that means you won't have enough space in the toe. In the event that you have the length for comfort, but now find excessive space is causing your heel to move, the best recommendation is to alter the removable innersole to a thicker option.

At this stage, we don’t offer innersole variations for fit, but this is an adaptation our product team is working on.
